Social Impact
The heart and mission of the Dallas Stars Foundation is to invest in our communities by creating unique programs that nurture and enrich the lives of those in need.
Since our inception in 1998, we have donated more than $12 million to the North Texas community. Each year, over 90,000 children are supported through our pillars: youth hockey, community engagement, and health and education. Last season, over 500 volunteers contributed 2,400 service hours to non-profits, while 300 organizations received in-kind donations like autographed items and game tickets. The Foundation also donated 10,000 Stars tickets to local non-profits. The Dallas Stars continue to pledge support for the Metroplex and Texas through hockey and community programs.
As stewards in Texas ice sports, the Dallas Stars and their professionally managed StarCenters are committed to delivering exceptional family entertainment in a positive, fun, and healthy environment. Whether you're a beginner or an elite skater, the StarCenters provide state-of-the-art facilities, training programs, and development opportunities to help foster skills and a lifelong passion for ice skating. Over the past 25 years, the team's investment in amateur hockey has grown participation from 250 children and 225 adults to over 10,000 kids and 6,000 adults across 20 ice rinks. The StarCenters promote skill-building, sportsmanship, and teamwork, while offering free skating and hockey programs, camps, and clinics, contributing to a thriving hockey culture in the region. As a leader in youth and recreational sports with over 80,000 active participants and 8.5 million visitors per year through their ten facilities, the Dallas Stars’ investment in multisport properties is the next step in their reach beyond their core ice-related customers into additional youth sports for athletes across the Metroplex. In just three years, the Dallas Stars invested in three multisport properties. These include the RYSE Energy StarCenter Multisport in Farmers Branch, which is expected to host 50,000 unique athletes annually and is home to TAV Volleyball; RYSE Energy StarCenter Multisport at The Mac, home to Drive Nation Volleyball; and the newest addition, StarCenter Multisport Northlake. This 225,000-square-foot facility will feature two NHL regulation ice rinks and eight basketball courts, which can also be converted into 16 volleyball courts.
